Reflection Explores Identity, Memory and Human Experience at One Art Gallery

Introspective art gained the spotlight in July when One Art Gallery, Anthony Village, Lagos, hosted Reflection. The group exhibition assembled seven emerging artists exploring introspection, identity, memory, and the complexities of the human experience.
Curated by Olamide Faloore, the exhibition opened with a reception on Saturday, July 4, and concluded with a well-attended closing reception on Friday, July 17, attracting collectors, creatives, and culturally curious audiences who gathered to engage with the exhibition and its conversations.
Featuring works by Hycenth David, Oluwapelumi Fagbemi, Darlington Raymond, Moses Oyeleye, Wisdom Madunacho, Samuel Joseph, and Christopher Ohia, Reflection presented a compelling range of artistic voices working across painting, drawing, mixed media, and photography. Although diverse in material and visual language, the artists were united by a shared interest in examining the self in relation to broader cultural and social realities.
