Resonance: 15 Truths

Resonance: 15 Truths is an exhibition grounded in curatorial inquiry. An exploration of why artists create; what compels their practice, and how individual bodies of work become vessels for personal truth.

Bringing together fifteen artists, predominantly emerging voices, alongside a select number of established practitioners, the exhibition centres on artists whose practices are driven by intentional storytelling. Each participant has been carefully selected for their commitment to developing a distinct visual language and for the clarity with which their work communicates lived experiences.

Rather than presenting a singular theme, the exhibition unfolds as a gathering of independent yet coexisting worlds. The gallery space is segmented into vivid, evocative zones, allowing visitors to move between the contrasting mental and emotional landscapes. Each corner functions as an intimate entry point into an artist’s ongoing series, a focused encounter with what matters deeply to them and why that body of work exists.

Here, resonance replaces uniformity. The exhibition proposes that artistic truth is not collective consensus but personal alignment.

You are encouraged to navigate the space freely, discovering the works that speak most directly to you, to find your own “resonant corner". Through this approach, meaning is not prescribed by the curator alone but is completed through you, the viewer’s emotional and intellectual engagement.

An integral part of this experience is the use of the gallery’s ‘viewfinder’ offered to attendees. Inviting moments of intentional looking. By isolating details within each composition, viewers are encouraged to slow down, reflect, and engage beyond passive observation.

For the participating artists, Nerat David, Saleem Adebowale, Adebayo Jude, Loony World, Patience Adekunle, Mr Waduud, Olamide Faloore, Muhammed Ali, Favour Isioma, Lekan Olaosebikan, Owasey Ifeoluwa, Damilola Ilori, Okeke Buchi, Bash Eminent, and Faith Omole, 15 Truths serves as both presentation and affirmation: an opportunity to see their evolving bodies of work contextualised, articulated, and honoured within a curatorial framework that values direction, experimentation, and authenticity.

Resonance: 15 Truths becomes a space where differences coexist, where individuality forms harmony, and where expression exists not to conform but to resonate.
